Love's Labours Lost 26 is a summer staging of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost. Set in Navarre, it follows four women on a diplomatic mission as the King and his lords find their vows tested by love, desire and wit.
This flamenco-inspired new production marks Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins’s Globe Theatre directing debut. Lown-Collins is a former Globe Resident Artist and a JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water at the Orange Tree Theatre.
Rarely staged, the comedy is presented here through rhythm, romantic tension, joy and revelry, with longing, grief and melancholy alongside it, and love left unresolved.
Key facts: Flamenco-inspired summer production of Shakespeare’s comedy, directed at the Globe by Indiana Lown-Collins.
