A World Elsewhere plays at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, where the story follows Cass, a boy whose imagination has always been full of adventures. Inspired by his grandmother’s love of Shakespeare, he and his band of imaginary friends have already faced heroes, villains, monsters and shipwrecks.
When the stories begin to lose their spark and a strange darkness starts to spread through his elsewhere-world, Cass is forced into a new journey. The show explores what happens when imagination changes, and what it takes to keep a story alive.
The Olivier-nominated team behind Rough Magic and Midsummer Mechanicals return with a production built around storytelling, music, laughter, friendship and imagination. It is described as funny, moving and inventive, with a focus on the worlds that stories can create.
Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes.
