A World Elsewhere at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse follows Cass, a boy whose imagination has always been filled with stories, adventures and imaginary friends. Inspired by his grandmother’s love of Shakespeare, he journeys through a world of heroes, villains, monsters and shipwrecks, until something begins to change in his elsewhere-world.
The production comes from the Olivier-nominated team behind Rough Magic and Midsummer Mechanicals. It is described as a celebration of storytelling, with music, laughter, friendship and imagination at its centre.
As Cass’s story develops, a strange darkness begins to creep in and the adventures are no longer quite as they were. The show combines fantasy and storytelling in a way that makes its premise clear for audiences considering a visit.
Running time is 1 hour 30 minutes. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and cannot be sat separately. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
