About A World Elsewhere
A World Elsewhere at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse follows Cass, a boy with a heart full of stories. Inspired by his grandmother’s love of Shakespeare, he and his imaginary friends have imagined heroes, villains, monsters and shipwrecks, but lately his world has begun to change and something darker is creeping in.
Created by the Olivier-nominated team behind Rough Magic and Midsummer Mechanicals, the production brings together music, laughter, friendship and imagination. It is presented as a story about storytelling itself, with a focus on the worlds that can be created through it.
Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes.
