A World Elsewhere at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is a summer production about imagination and storytelling. It follows Cass, a boy whose world has always been filled with stories, and his band of imaginary friends as they meet heroes, face villains, outwit monsters and survive shipwrecks.
Inspired by his grandma’s love of Shakespeare, Cass’s adventures begin to change. The stories become uninspiring, the adventures less adventurous, and a strange darkness starts to creep in as his elsewhere-world shifts.
The Olivier-nominated team behind Rough Magic and Midsummer Mechanicals return with a show that brings music, laughter, friendship and imagination to the stage.
