A World Elsewhere at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse follows Cass, a boy whose imagination is full of stories. Inspired by his grandmother’s love of Shakespeare, he and his band of imaginary friends have met heroes, faced villains, outwitted monsters and survived shipwrecks.
When the adventures start to lose their spark and a strange darkness creeps in, Cass’s elsewhere-world begins to change. The production brings together music, laughter, friendship and imagination in a story about what happens when storytelling itself is challenged.
The Olivier-nominated team behind Rough Magic and Midsummer Mechanicals return with this summer production, described as funny, moving and inventively staged.
Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes.
All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, and they cannot be sat separately. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
