About Avenue Q
Avenue Q is at 210 Shaftesbury Avenue in the West End. This three-time Tony Award-winning musical has returned for a strictly limited season this spring, following the story of Princeton, a new graduate looking for his purpose in life.
Set in a shabby apartment on New York’s rundown Avenue Q, the show follows Princeton as he meets his colourful neighbours and they work through everyday pressures such as work, love and paying the bills. The production combines original Broadway direction by Jason Moore and original puppet design by Rick Lyon.
The musical is described as irreverent and charming, with infectious songs and loveable characters, and it revisits the humour, puppets and felt that made the show a hit.
