San Fran Ballet, Mere Mortals at Sadler's Wells Theatre is a contemporary ballet that reimagines the story of Pandora’s Box for the tech-driven age. It explores questions around artificial intelligence, progress and the choices people make when entering unknown territory, using movement, music and cutting-edge visuals to tell the story.

The production was commissioned as a world premiere for Artistic Director Tamara Rojo’s inaugural season. It brings together electronic music, festival culture and contemporary ballet in a fully immersive format, with choreography by Aszure Barton.

The performance features live work from electronic music producer Floating Points and the Royal Ballet Sinfonia orchestra, creating a blend of electronic and orchestral sound across the piece.
