San Fran Ballet, Mere Mortals at Sadler's Wells Theatre is a ballet that reimagines the story of Pandora’s Box through a modern, tech-driven lens. It combines movement, music and cutting-edge visuals in a fully immersive production that explores artificial intelligence, progress and the risks of moving into unknown territory.

Commissioned as a world premiere for Artistic Director Tamara Rojo’s inaugural season, the programme brings together contemporary ballet, electronic music and festival culture. Choreography is by Aszure Barton, with live performances by Floating Points and the Royal Ballet Sinfonia orchestra.

The production is presented as a journey that links myth and modern life, with the subject matter and live score designed to give the story a distinctly contemporary edge.
