From The Margins

London, From The Margins at Rich Mix is conducted and connected by Hackney-born multiplatform storyteller Jammz and DJ, broadcaster and DAYTIMERS cultural programmer Rohan Rakhit with Rich Mix creative lead Shay Rafati. It brings together the music and subcultures that have defined East London and continue to shape activism and identity in the community today. Four genre-inspired weekends, each rooted in a scene with a rich history and artistic talent in this part of London - Asian Underground, Jazz, Grime and Club Culture - lead into a celebratory two-day birthday weekender finale.

Artists and collaborators include: Brownswood Recordings, Chamber 45, Charlie Dark, Farook JOI, G33, Grandmixxer, Nadine Noor, Orii Community, Pratibha Parmar, Scratcha, and Tomorrow's Warriors.

Across the season, Rich Mix is creating a pop-up, in-person radio station, 'Streetside Radio', broadcasting live from the venue on event days. Partnering with some of the city's most important community radio stations, Voices, Sister Midnight FM, Mode and Reprezent, bespoke programmes celebrating the conversations and themes of each event will be curated.
