The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre is a musical by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park. It won four Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, and follows two Mormon missionaries sent from Salt Lake City to Uganda, where their plans for baptisms and conversions meet a very different reality.
The show mixes comedy, music and satire, taking aim at religion, consumerism and other everyday absurdities. It is known for explicit language and for being rude and potentially offensive, while still earning praise for its humour and songs.
The production has been widely successful and remains a popular West End booking.
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes including interval.
