The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London is the smash-hit musical by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park. Winner of four Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, it follows two Salt Lake City Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda, where they face harsh realities and a difficult warlord.
The show mixes comedy, song and satire to explore religion, consumerism and the absurdities of Mormon dogma. It is described as rude and potentially offensive, with music by Avenue Q’s Robert Lopez.
