About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a stage production set in Hawkins in 1959, before the world turned upside down. It follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado as they deal with everyday worries, until new student Henry Creel arrives and changes the town’s balance.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to take audiences back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story. The show is presented as a new chapter that may also hold the key to the end.

It has received five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Standard.

Running time: approximately 3 hours, including an interval.

Before you book

Age guidance: recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

Arrival: the venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive by 30 minutes before the performance begins. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval.
