Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins in 1959, before the world turned upside down. The story follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby, Joyce Maldonado and Henry Creel as new student Henry arrives and a fresh start proves harder than it seems.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to take the Stranger Things story back to its beginning. The source material also cites five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Standard.

Before you book

Recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive by 30 minutes before the start time. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds after purchase.
