About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins, 1959, before the events of Stranger Things. The story follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby, Joyce Maldonado and new student Henry Creel as the town’s ordinary routines start to unravel.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, this production takes you back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story. It centres on how the past reaches into the present, with Henry Creel’s arrival bringing new questions for his family and the town.

Before you book

Recommended for ages 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time and you should arrive 30 minutes before the performance begins. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
