About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins, 1959, before the events of Stranger Things. The story follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby, Joyce Maldonado and new student Henry Creel as ordinary town life begins to shift into something stranger.

Brought to the stage by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to tell a new chapter in the Stranger Things story, taking audiences back to the beginning.

Key facts: Approx 3 hrs including an interval. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

Before you book

Recommended for ages 12 and over. Under 5s are not permitted, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive 30 minutes before the performance begins. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval.
