Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre in London takes you back to Hawkins in 1959, before the world turned upside down. The story follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby, Joyce Maldonado and new student Henry Creel, whose arrival brings fresh problems for his family and connects the town’s past to the events ahead.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to tell a new chapter in the Stranger Things story. It has also received five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Standard.

Before you book

Age guidance: Recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive 30 minutes before the performance. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
