About

About Harry Potter and The Cursed Child - One-Part

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child - One-Part at the Palace Theatre is a play by Jack Thorne, based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. It continues the story 19 years after Harry, Ron and Hermione saved the wizarding world, as a new generation arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Premiering in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016, the production is described as the most awarded play in history. It won a record-breaking nine Olivier Awards in 2017, including Best New Play and Best Director.

The story follows Harry as he deals with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, while his youngest son, Albus, faces the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present come together, the play moves into a race through time and a battle to stop mysterious forces.

Running time: 2 hours 55 minutes, including one 20 minute interval.
