About The Children
The Children at Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is Lucy Kirkwood’s gripping, darkly funny drama, presented in a 10th anniversary production and directed by Artistic Director Rachel O’Riordan.
Hazel and Robin are living on the edge of a radiation exclusion zone, trying to hold on to a sense of normal life through yoga, parsnip wine and routine. When their old friend Rose arrives, she brings buried secrets and a proposition that forces them to face their past and the debt they owe the next generation.
The production stars Olivier Award-nominated Meera Syal as Hazel.
