The Children at Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is Lucy Kirkwood’s darkly funny drama about Hazel and Robin, who have survived a catastrophe and are trying to maintain some sense of normality while living on the edge of a radiation exclusion zone. Hazel keeps up her yoga, Robin brews parsnip wine, and both are clinging to everyday routines when their old friend Rose arrives.

Rose’s visit brings buried memories and a proposition that challenges loyalty and raises questions about debt to the next generation. This 10th anniversary production is directed by Artistic Director Rachel O’Riordan.

The production stars Olivier Award-nominated Meera Syal as Hazel.
