The Children at Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is Lucy Kirkwood’s darkly funny drama about Hazel and Robin, who have survived a catastrophe and are trying to keep life going on the edge of a radiation exclusion zone. As they cling to routine, their old friend Rose arrives with buried memories, old secrets and a proposition that tests their loyalty.
This 10th anniversary production is directed by Artistic Director Rachel O’Riordan. It is a story about responsibility, debt and what is owed to the next generation, set against the strain of survival and the return of the past.
