Music Industry Mondays (MIM)is a free weekly event series held every Monday, bringing artists, creatives, and industry professionals together with guest speakers from across the music industry. Each session explores a different area of the business - from artists and managers to labels, festivals, publishing, marketing, and beyond. Expect honest insight, practical advice, and real-world experience, followed by an open mic and open Q&A.
Diane Waggis the founder ofDeluxxe Management, an artist manager, consultant, and one of the UK music industry’s most respected advocates for artist development and independent careers.
Across a career spanning A&R, artist management, producer management, and studio management, Diane has worked with hundreds of artists includingDavid Bowie, George Michael, Thin Lizzy, Beth Orton, The Waterboys, Republica, and Scouting For Girls. Through Deluxxe Management, she helped develop Scouting For Girls from an unsigned act into major arena-level success, while continuing to support emerging and independent artists across multiple genres.
Before founding Deluxxe, Diane co-owned Rise Management and later became Director of legendary producer Tony Visconti’s group of companies, working with clients including David Bowie, Thin Lizzy, The Boomtown Rats, and The Stranglers. She also managed London’s renowned Good Earth Studios, whose clients included U2, Duran Duran, and George Michael.
Alongside management, Diane is a highly respected educator, mentor, and industry advisor. She is the former Chair and current Custodian of the Music Managers Forum (MMF) UK, a Business Advisor for Help Musicians, and was recognised in theMusic Week Women in Music Roll of Honourin 2020.
