About You and It
You and It at King’s Head Theatre in Islington is an award-winning Korean musical set in a near-future world where humans and artificial intelligence coexist. The story follows a grieving widower who encounters an AI created in the image of his late wife, bringing grief, memory and the meaning of love into focus.
You and It won the Best Musical Award at the 13th Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF). It has been produced in South Korea and Taiwan, and in 2024 it became the first Korean original musical to present a fully localised English-language production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it had a month-long run.
With an intimate two-person story and a contemporary score, the musical looks at what technology can and cannot replace in human relationships.
