You and It at the King's Head Theatre in Islington is a Korean musical set in a near-future world where humans and artificial intelligence coexist. The story follows a grieving widower who meets an AI created in the image of his late wife, and uses that premise to explore grief, memory and love.
Written by Seoeun Oh and Q Lee, with original lyrics and music by Q Lee, the show has been acclaimed in Korea, Taiwan and the UK. It won the Best Musical Award at the 13th Daegu International Musical Festival and became the first Korean original musical to present a fully localised English-language production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2024.
Combining an intimate two-person story with a contemporary score, You and It asks what it means to be human at a time when AI is increasingly part of everyday life.
