The Phantom of the Opera is a musical at 57 Haymarket, London. Far beneath the Paris Opera House, the Phantom lives in shadow, and his love for Christine Daaé drives the story at the centre of the show. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score, striking scenery and special effects bring the production to life.

First staged at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman, The Phantom of the Opera has become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time. It has won 70 major theatre awards and has been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.

Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performance times: Monday to Friday at 7.30pm; Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Before you book

Children under 4 will not be admitted. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket. Tickets are issued by confirmation email with an e-ticket, which should be printed and brought on the day; you may also need to present valid ID. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.

Seating note: Stalls Row N-S will have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang. Single seats cannot be left in a row when booking.
