Allegra is a new comedy with music playing in the West End, London. Written by Peter Quilter and directed and choreographed by Stephen Mear, it stars Dame Maureen Lipman in the title role.
The story follows Allegra, whose love of singing takes her from home to the street, and into local shops and cafés. Her brother Ronen and her carer Anna do their best to keep daily life steady around her.
Key facts: The production includes musical numbers such as Singin’ in the Rain, Ain’t No Sunshine, Dream A Little Dream Of Me and Happy Days Are Here Again. Dame Maureen Lipman is appearing in her first UK tour for 20 years.
