Allegra is a new heart-warming comedy with music from Peter Quilter, the Olivier and Tony Award nominated playwright behind End of the Rainbow and Glorious!, with Dame Maureen Lipman in the title role and direction and choreography by Stephen Mear.
The story follows Allegra, whose urge to sing takes her from home to the street and into local shops and cafés. At times the orchestra exists only in her imagination; at others it spills into the real world, changing the mood for the people around her.
Her brother Ronen and her carer Anna do their best to keep life steady, while the production combines family relationships, humour and songs.
Key facts: Includes musical numbers such as Singin’ in the Rain, Ain’t No Sunshine, Dream A Little Dream Of Me and Happy Days Are Here Again.
No exchanges or refunds post purchase.
Panton St, West End, London SW1Y 4DN.
