Abigail's Party at The Harold Pinter Theatre in London is Mike Leigh’s black comedy of suburban life in 1970s England. Set in Essex in 1977, it follows Beverly as she hosts new neighbours Angela and Tony for drinks, with Sue from next door also drawn into the evening.
As the alcohol flows, the conversation turns from small talk to awkward flirtation and marital tension. Demis Roussos is on the record player, the cheese and pineapple cocktail sticks are ready, and the gathering soon becomes a sharp portrait of social class, materialism and sexual tension.
Runs Wednesday 12th August to Saturday 19th September 2026.
Cancellation policy: No refunds or exchanges after purchase.
