Abigail's Party at The Harold Pinter Theatre is Mike Leigh’s black comedy of suburban life in 1970s England. Set in Essex in 1977, it follows Beverly as she hosts a drinks party with her husband Laurence, while new neighbours Angela and Tony and next-door neighbour Sue are drawn into the evening.
The play traces awkward small talk, flirtation and marital tension as the gathering unravels. It is a sharp portrait of social class, materialism and sexual tension, with Tamzin Outhwaite starring as Beverly.
Runs Wednesday 12th August to Saturday 19th September 2026.
