About My Neighbour Totoro

My Neighbour Totoro is playing at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London’s West End. This stage adaptation of Studio Ghibli’s 1988 animated film is created by the Royal Shakespeare Company in collaboration with Improbable and Nippon TV.

Adapted by Tom Morton-Smith and executive produced by Joe Hisaishi, the production follows sisters Satsuki and Mei through one extraordinary summer. It is a coming-of-age story about childhood, imagination and the world of fantasy around them.

Winner of six Olivier Awards, this production brings the film’s story to the stage in a theatrical version of the celebrated animated feature.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours 40 minutes, including a 20-minute interval. Winner of six Olivier Awards.

Before you book
