Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre in London is Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical, fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. It opened in London on Saturday 14 December 2024 following a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Based on Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more, the show brings together a well-known score including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. It is an Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning musical.

Current cast

Cast information includes Simon Lipkin as Fagin, Shanay Holmes as Nancy, Aaron Sidwell as Bill Sikes, Billy Jenkins as the Artful Dodger and Philip Franks as Mr Brownlow. Matt Lucas will play the role of Fagin from 22 September to 1 November 2026.
