Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre is Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical, fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. It opened in London on Saturday 14 December 2024, following a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre.

The show brings Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more to the stage, with a score that includes Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. It is a Cameron Mackintosh & Chichester Festival Theatre production.

The production has been described in reviews as a “triump[h]” and a “whopping great hit”, and is billed as the Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning musical.
