Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre is Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical, fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. It opened in London on Saturday 14 December 2024, following a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre.

This Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning show brings Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more to the stage with a score that includes Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. It is a Cameron Mackintosh & Chichester Festival Theatre production, co-directed by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy, with design by Lez Brotherston, lighting by Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs, sound by Adam Fisher and video by George Reeve.

Current cast

The cast includes Simon Lipkin as Fagin, Shanay Holmes as Nancy, Aaron Sidwell as Bill Sikes, Billy Jenkins as the Artful Dodger and Philip Franks as Mr Brownlow. Matt Lucas will play Fagin from 22 September to 1 November 2026.
