About RENT

RENT at the Duke of York’s Theatre is Jonathan Larson’s musical, presented in a new production directed by Luke Sheppard.

Inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème, it follows a group facing joy, uncertainty and resilience, with community and connection at the centre of the story.

Thirty years after it first redefined musical theatre, RENT returns to the West End.

Before you book

Recommended for ages 14+. The production contains themes of HIV/AIDS, bereavement, drug use, suicide, sex and sex work, strong language, smoking, haze and strobe lighting.
