About Arcadia
Arcadia at Duke of York's Theatre in London is Sir Tom Stoppard's play transferring to the West End this summer. Directed by Carrie Cracknell, this production brings together science, romance and the search for meaning in a country house story told across two centuries.
In 1809, teenage prodigy Thomasina Coverly explores mathematics, nature and the forces that shape the universe. In the present day, author Hannah Jarvis investigates a chapter in Lord Byron's life with precision and care, as the past and present begin to echo one another.
The production opens following a critically acclaimed run at The Old Vic and is being staged at the Duke of York's Theatre, which is being newly renovated into the round especially for this production.
Key facts: Strictly limited 12-week run. Suitable for ages 14+. BSL performance: Saturday 15 August at 7pm. Evening captioned performance: 6 August.
