Arcadia at the Duke of York's Theatre is Sir Tom Stoppard’s play in a new West End production from the Old Vic, directed by Carrie Cracknell.
Set in a country house across two centuries, the story follows Thomasina Coverly in 1809 as she explores mathematics, nature and the forces shaping the universe, while in the present day author Hannah Jarvis investigates a mystery connected to Lord Byron. As their questions unfold, the play brings together science, romance, curiosity and the search for patterns in life.
The production opens at the Duke of York's Theatre, which is being newly renovated into the round especially for this production, and it runs for a strictly limited 12-week run.
