About Dark of the Moon
Dark of the Moon at The Arches, London, is a new musical about witchcraft, small-town prejudice and love. It sets a rural Appalachian town against the mystical world of witches and warlocks from the Smoky Mountains above it.
Barbara Allen, a human girl, and John, a curious witch-boy, fall for each other and try to build a life together. The score reflects those opposing worlds with a blend of country/bluegrass and rock.
