About Dark of the Moon
Dark of the Moon at The Arches, London is a supernatural musical about witchcraft, small-town prejudice and love. It follows Barbara Allen, a human girl, and John, a curious witch-boy, as they try to build a life together between a rural Appalachian town and the world of witches and warlocks in the Smoky Mountains.
The show’s score brings together country/bluegrass and rock, reflecting the two worlds at the centre of the story. It is a new musical built around a conflict between community, belief and the relationship at the heart of the story.
