About Dark of the Moon
Dark of the Moon at The Arches, London is a new musical about witchcraft, small-town prejudice and the power of love. It follows Barbara Allen, a human girl, and John, a curious witch-boy, as they try to build a life together in the face of opposition from both of their communities.
The story moves between a rural Appalachian town and the mystical world of witches and warlocks in the Smoky Mountains. Its score reflects those contrasting worlds through a blend of country, bluegrass and rock.
