The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre is Simon Stone’s contemporary take on the Greek myth. Stone, the Australian theatre and film director behind radical reimaginings of classic works including Yerma and Phaedra, has made the Bridge Theatre his London home after staging The Lady from the Sea starring Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln last year.
The story follows a contemporary family that wakes up in a Greek myth and cannot find a way out of its hellish destiny.
