The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre in London is a contemporary family drama set within Greek myth. A contemporary family wakes up inside that world and cannot seem to find a way out of its hellish destiny.
Simon Stone, the Australian theatre and film director behind Yerma and Phaedra, is known for radical reworkings of classic works.
He returned to the Bridge Theatre after staging The Lady from the Sea there last year, with Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln.
