About The Oresteia
The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre is directed by Simon Stone, the Australian theatre and film director known for reworking classic works including Yerma and Phaedra. He returns to the Bridge Theatre after staging The Lady from the Sea starring Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln last year.
The production follows a contemporary family that wakes up in a Greek myth and cannot seem to find a way out of their destiny. It brings an established classical story into a modern family setting.
BSL interpreted performances are scheduled for Saturday 12 September at 14:30 and Saturday 12 December at 14:30.
