About The Oresteia

The Oresteia is at the Bridge Theatre in London. Simon Stone, the Australian theatre and film director known for radical reworkings of classic plays, presents a contemporary family story set against Greek myth, where they cannot seem to escape their hellish destiny.

Stone has previously staged Yerma and Phaedra, and returned to the Bridge Theatre after The Lady from the Sea starring Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln. The production brings a familiar mythic framework into a modern family setting.
