About

About The Oresteia

The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre centres on a contemporary family that wakes up in a Greek myth and cannot seem to find a way out of its hellish destiny.

The production is directed by Simon Stone, the Australian theatre and film director known for radical reimaginings of classic works including Yerma and Phaedra. It follows his staging of The Lady from the Sea at the Bridge Theatre last year, which starred Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln.

Key facts: Simon Stone’s recent Bridge Theatre work includes The Lady from the Sea, staged there last year.
