The Oresteia is at the Bridge Theatre, London. Simon Stone, the Australian theatre and film director known for his radical reimagining of classic works including Yerma and Phaedra, returns to the venue after The Lady from the Sea, which starred Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln.
The production follows a contemporary family waking up in a Greek myth and trying to find a way out of their hellish destiny. It places a modern story inside a mythic framework, with Stone continuing his work at the Bridge Theatre.
