The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre is Simon Stone’s contemporary take on a Greek myth. Stone, the Australian theatre and film director behind reworkings of classics including Yerma and Phaedra, brings his distinctive approach to this production.
The show follows a contemporary family that wakes up in a Greek myth and cannot seem to find a way out of its hellish destiny. Stone previously staged The Lady from the Sea at the Bridge Theatre last year, with Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln.
