Ivanov is a contemporary staging of Chekhov’s comic drama by Simon Stone. The story follows Nikolai, who feels he has forgotten how to be happy, as he faces mounting debts, his wife’s unexplained illnesses and pressure on his marriage and career.
The action centres on whether Nikolai can steady his life at a party at the Lebedevs’ house, or whether everything is heading for collapse. The production is joined by the same creative team that brought The Lady from the Sea to the stage.
