Ivanov at Bridge Theatre follows Nikolai, a man who should be settled but is struggling to understand why he no longer feels happy. He has a successful career, a perfect wife, debts are building and his wife has been laid low by unexplained illnesses.
Simon Stone brings Chekhov's keenly observed comic drama into the contemporary world. A party at the Lebedevs becomes the point at which Nikolai tries to save his marriage, his career and his will to live.
