Ivanov at the Bridge Theatre is Simon Stone’s contemporary staging of Chekhov’s comic drama. Nikolai has a successful career and a seemingly perfect marriage, but he is also facing debts, his wife’s unexplained illnesses and a growing sense that something is not right.
The play centres on a party at the Lebedevs, where Nikolai tries to deal with his marriage, his career and his wilting confidence at the same time. It is created by the same creative team that brought The Lady from the Sea to life.
Key facts: No one under the age of 5 is permitted within the auditorium, and the production is advised for ages 12+.
