About Ivanov
Ivanov is Simon Stone’s contemporary staging of Chekhov’s comic drama, centred on Nikolai, a man who seems to have a settled life but is struggling with a growing sense that something is wrong. Married to the perfect woman and with a successful career behind him, he is also facing debts and his wife’s unexplained illnesses.
The story follows his attempt to hold together his marriage, his career and his sense of purpose as he heads to a party at the Lebedevs’ that may change everything. The production reunites Stone with the creative team behind The Lady from the Sea.
