About Ivanov
Ivanov at Bridge Theatre, 3 Potters Fields Park, London SE1 2SG, follows Nikolai, a man who has forgotten how to be happy, or whether he ever was. He has a successful career, a marriage to the perfect woman and debts beginning to pile up, while his wife has recently been laid low with unexplained illnesses.
At a party at the Lebedevs, Nikolai tries to make sense of his marriage, his work and the feeling that everything is slipping out of place. Simon Stone brings Chekhov’s comic drama into the contemporary world, with the same creative team that brought The Lady from the Sea to life.
